Setting up a router (which is connected to a switch) for access to the
Internet. I am using a second NIC and trying to set up using ISA.

I know I have to set up the router first, with its information from the ISP
(DHCP PPPoE). My question is what external IP address do I use for the 2nd
NIC?

Do I : 1) modify the LAT table, make one available by removing it
2) use the same as the router or
3) assign a new external address? if so what is the
recommendation?

Hi John:

Is there any reason why you can't configure the network setup the
"recommended" way?

Internet => Router => External NIC
