Hi There,

not sure if this is the correct place for this question, so if i am wrong
can you please direct me on where it should be sent.

I have a SBS2k Server (i didn't build), that i have been asked to manage.

I am used to seeing and looking after the users by looking in the Active
Directory Users & computers section, well some of the users are not in
there.

If you open the SBS Console some of the users appear in the Users section
(just under Server Status) & the rest appear in the Active Directory.

My question is how do i get the users to appear in the AD?

thanking you in advance

Scott

Scott,

Is it possible the users have been dragged into an OU or another AD object
that is not the default Users container?
Can you search the Active Directory and locate the container location of
one of the missing users?
(In the ADU&C, go to Action, Find, then search on a missing user).
If you create a new user called "test" in the SBS Console or in ADU&C, does
it show up?

Hi Scott

As Franz says, it is possible some of the users have been moved into an OU.
This might have been done so that certain users can have a different group
policy applied, so once you have found your missing users I would recommend
you look for any policies that are being applied to their OU before you
consider moving them.

Andrew Stevens.
