Hey all,

I am introducing a Win 2k3 and Exchange 2k3 Enterprise Edition server. I am
planning to make the 2k3 server a dc so Exchange can take advantage of AD.
The plan is to have SBS 2k3 and then the trasition pack by the end of the
year but the Exchange 2k needed to be replaced now.

In order to accomplish the Win 2k3 DC I need to run adprep on the SBS 2k
machine. There is an issue with Exchange 2k schema in that situation. I am
wondering if i should run the InetOrgPersonPrevent.ldf first or can I wait
until after and run the InetOrgPersonfix.ldf after? Has anyone had any
experience with this? What are your suggestions?

Thanks,
Don

I would suggest running if before the ADPREP. Its very easy to run and
verify its has made the correct mods.

Thanks John,

That is the article I read and it gives two scenarios pertinent to my
situation.
1) Install the InetOrgPersonPrevent file first and verify changes
or
2) run InetOrgPersonFix file after the adprep operation

I guess my question is does it matter which way you do it? I would tend
to agree that it is probably better to run the 1st scenario rather than
the second.

Thanks,
Don
