We have been asked to set up a new network using SBS2003 with 9 PC's and 1
Apple Mac running OS9.2. We know absolutely sod all about Macs! Can anyone
give us some detailed info on how to connect and configure the Mac or point
us somewhere where we can get that kind of information.

Many thanks

Peter

Hi Pete,

Make sure you name the AD domain something like company.lan or
company.office. Don't use .com, .org or .local as Mac's really don't like
the .local addy.
Go to www.smallbizserver.net and check it out.

Is this only feature for .local addy. Or there are something else.
What is better to use .local or .lan. And how can I easily change it,
without
changing settings on each workstation

Hi Frano,

You can only change the local AD domain name when setting up SBS. If you
have Mac's you don't want to use the .local addy.
