Hi Bob,

I think you mean that you want have ftp for use on your LAN only, not open
to outside.
This is configured through IIS Admin. Although I do have to ask why do you
need this?
*nix connectivity?

Hi Bob,

To add an FTP server,

First make sure that it has been installed with IIS to do this
Open Control Panel, Add Remove/Programs
Then Click on Add/Remove Windows Components
Then Click the Components button
Select Internet Information Services (IIS) and click details, make sure File
Transfer Protocol (FTP) Server is selected.
Click Next, Next and Finish.

Then open Internet Services Manager from the Administrative Tools Menu on
expand your SBS server.
On the standard SBS Install it creates a Default FTP Site.

If it is not there or you want to create another one, you can add a new one
by right clicking on the server and selecting New|FTP Site the wizard will
prompt you for most information, when it asks which IP address you wish to
connect to select the one for the internal nic only.

Otherwise just change the properties of the Default FTP Site.

HTH,

Craig

Thanks Craig,
I am not sure either the xerox people sadi the ftp
service is needed to transfer scanned files from a new
copier scanner that we are installing. They also said
they need a lpr port. I got the lpr port but haven't
loaded ftp. because I don't think it is a good idea. I
will not open the ports with the ICW to the internet
however.

Any other thoughts?
