If you have a 2000 SBS (without SQL running) can you have
a 2nd 2000 server with SQL server 2000 running?

Yes.

You can have a Full Package Product SQL Server ( not the
SQL server from the SBS Package which -must- be installed
on the SBS Box ) and CALs running on a Member Windows
2000 Server ( FPP -not another installation of- the Windows
2000 Server from the SBS Package).

You will need to CAL the SQL Server either per Processor
or Per user. Access to the Member Windows 2000 Server is
covered by the SBS CALs.

There is nothing restricting you from adding another SQL Server
to a Member Server even if you -have- installed and are running
SQL Server on the SBS Box. .... as long as you pay for it. :-)
