Anyone know of a way to recover a sheet within an excel spreadsheet???

There is no backup of the actual file, it has been resaved to its original
file name, and I think I am out of luck.

Client accidentally deleted a very important sheet from within their xls
file, saved it, and now needs it back. Of course that was while at home
where they dont have ANY backup plan....gotta love those home users that
refuse to VPN in before working....

Anyway, I have used programs to recover deleted files and what not, was
curious if anyone has had experience/luck with something like this.

Once again, thanks in advance,

JKinSD

A sheet within a sheet? And he saved the file with the same name?

ouchey.....

[{new_file_takes_up_this_room}----original file was this big----]

There is data in that "slack space" but it may not be in a format to get
that spreadsheet back the way it was...

Is the original or near enough to it to recreate it somewhat... file on
the server or on a tape drive?

I'll tell ya one thing... you never do that twice...

You are SOL (Sadly Out of Luck).

In the future I would using this tool... which allows you going back and
recover even in this situation:
http://www.bmsltd.co.uk/DLCount/DLCount.asp?file=AutoSafeVBE.zip

BTW-> You don't have a copy of the worksheet at least 1 or 2 days old in a
recent backup???
