    - Find Smallest entry but excluding zero I need to find the smallest number in a column which may have the range from 0 to 9 but need to exclude 0 ie: strokes in a game of golf so that I can calculate the lowest number of strokes taken.     - formulas Hi, I need to be able to protect my formulas in a column. I know how to protect the columns I don't want edited. However in the column which I allow data to be input, if someones enters a number in the wrong cell in a row then hits delete it also deletes the formula in the cell so that when they go across the row and come down to the next row the cell has lost its formula.     - Move text Sh1 C5:C40 are text values inserted at various times and not in any order. Sh1 D5:D40 are numbers that were inserted next to name and Sh1 E5:E:40 are additional text values added. In Sh2 C5:C40 are the same text values as Sh1 C5:C40 but in alphabetical order. I am using the SUMIF formula to enter number values into Sh2 D5:D40. Therefore Sh2 D5 formula is SUMIF(C5:C40,C2,D5:D40) etc. I want to fill Sh2 E5:E40 with info from Sh1 E5:E40 same as previous col but cannot use sumif because Sh1colE is text. What formula works?     - IF Function formula I posted this in the general questions but it's better suited for here: Hi I need some help figuring out if it is possible to create a formula. I'm trying to link information from different pages in a spreadsheet that contain id's for people and prices they are paying for some items my church is selling. We have a main worksheet that lists their names and the ids and then we have another worksheet that lists all the items they can buy with it's price. Is it possible to create a formula in the name page that says "If you find id #1 in column A, then sum the prices from column D". The ids will be spread out throughout column A so we need a formula to locate each instance of the id and then grab the price listed each time in column D and sum those prices up.     - Excel - Formulae across several sheets I have a period (4 week) sales goal. As I complete week 1, I need to know how much remains of my sales goal. I created a spreadsheet which tracks sales for many accounts for one week (or sheet) at a time. On sheet 2 I need to subtract the total sales from sheet 1 and show remaining sales goal as of week (sheet) 2. Basically, on week (sheet) 4 I need to know what remains for that week.     - Formula Funtions Hi, I am working in excell 2000 and I would like to write a formula that would divide a numer in one cell and times the decimal portion of the answer by the same amount I was divding it by. Example cell A1 would countain the amount I entered 5000 I would like cell B1 to divide the amount in A1 by 560 and then times the reaining amount that would be in decilmal by 560. Don't know if this is possible or not? if you divide 5000 by 560 you get 8.928 if you set your decimal point to 3 I would like to take the decimal part and times that by 560 which is 519.680 I would like to round up the 519.680 to the next whole if the first number on the right of the decimal is 5 or higher. then my answer in cell B1 would be 8.520 Thanks if anyone can help with this.     - formatting in different countries I've recently created a spreadsheet which contains a date formatted to show as the day of the week by means of "dddd". However this spreadsheet is to be used in Germany and France and I've discovered that in order for the formatting to work, "dddd" has to be replaced with "tttt" in Germany (for Tag) and "jjjj" in France (jour). I'm quite surprised by this as I though that the formatting would have been taken care of in Excel regardless of the country it was being opened.     - What-If Analysis Hello, I am trying to conduct a â??what-ifâ?? analysis for a fairly simple financial model. This model is basically one extensive income statement that contains historical data as well as forward-looking statements. Historical data is hard-coded while the forecast data is driven by revenue, expense, and other miscellaneous assumptions. At any given point, I want to manipulate the revenue assumption for the upcoming period to see what the effect would be, not only on that period, but for all future periods. Clearly, the easiest way to do this would be to punch in different assumptions to see what the outcome would be. However, I want to develop something that would outline multiple outcomes (for example, 10%, 30%, or 50% growths) of these revenue adjustments all at the same time. I tried using scenarios (under Tools>Scenarios) and that works great except that it cannot show multiple outcomes all on one page at the same time. I messed around with â??Summaryâ?? function under scenarios, but those outputs seem gear towards one-time analysis rather than for something that would need to be revisited each month. I was wondering if there is any other way to get the Scenarios to â??publishâ?? the effects of different inputs as a separate report that has more functionality and transparency. I also tried using data tables, which work fine if I just want to see different outcomes for one period, but if I want to see how those one period changes would affect other future periods, I would need to build additional steps to implement it into my main model (toggle switches, etc.) Any help/insight will be appreciated! However, I need to use the difference (in hours) to calculate the cost incurred when the hours fall between 0600 -1800 (day cost) and 1800-0600 (night cost).     - Conditional formatting troubleshooting I'm trying to apply conditional formatting to a column of cells. The formula for these cells is =IF(L8<$B$4,"Late!","Ok") and that is filled down the column. In the conditional formatting section, I've tried to apply the following conditions: Condition 1 Formula Is = ISERROR(reference) [if there's an error, puts #VALUE! in white font] Condition 2 Cell Value Is equal to ="Ok" [if the cell value is Ok, puts Ok in black font] Condition 3 Cell Value Is equal to ="Late!"
