Hmmm. Interesting question since we are in the process
of interviewing windows forms .net developers for
junior and senior level positions.
I can tell you we have a great deal of interest
in trees and grids. We also want to know your
thoughts on where you put UI oriented logic
(forms or separate classes) and whether you
have experience largely with DataSet/DataTable
type environments or do you work primarily
in an OOP environment and custom classes.
We lean towards the latter.
We also ask about your experience with
charting tools and third party controls.
Lots of experience with drag and drop
along with Office integration is a big help.
These areas give us a good idea as to whether
your skill level is that of a beginner or a more
advanced developer who just happens to
specialize in the UI world.
