I'm about to get a new computer for VS2K5 development. Is it ok to get
Vista yet or should I stick with XP?

Thanks,

Ross

To use VS2005 in VISTA box, you simply need to apply VS2005SP1.

Are you sure? I've been under the impression that you need to install VS
2005 SP1 *then* the Vista Update, as described here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=929470
and here:

In my case, I'm not installing an update. I'm purchasing a new machine with
Vista pre-installed.

Yes, you are right. Besides VS2005 SP1, there is also VS2005 VISTA Update
pack.
