    - PropertyGrid info Hi, I have a usercontrol that resizes itself based on the font size. When you enter the font in the property grid the control resizes itself correctly in design mode, but when the application is run, it uses the default font.     - Scrolling in ContextMenu Hey all, I've got a problem with a slightly bigger contextmenu. Let's say I have 100 MenuItems then the context menu gets a little arrow on the very top and the very bottom. The one at the very bottom is black to suppose it is selectable, the one at the very top is grey (not selectable). By clicking on the bottom arrow I would expect I would scroll down my list of MenuItems. Instead the list of items is closed (quite slowly, looks somewhat strange). Shouldn't this work for itself? The aforementioned control "AxABC" is then subclassed as MyABCControl. The inheritance chain now goes like this: MyABCControl -> AxABC -> AxHost -> Control ...     - Why does Form-A's instance fire Form-B's event?? Hi, I have an MDI application. I'm opening 2 instances of the same form, Form-A and Form-B. WHen I have these two instances of same form open, it looks like all the events are shared between Form-A and Form-B. Eg., I have a button, which on click, changes the tab from Tab-1 to Tab-4. Since, in this case, both Form-A and Form-B have same buttons, the button click on Form-A changes Form-B's Tab-1 to Tab-4. Which should not happen. How can I avoid this? How is this handled in .NET?     - working with graphics I am creating an application that has some graphics and text displayed, and I am not sure the best approach is to handle my requirements. - There are 2 images that take up 40% of the form and are do not move or change. All the following items are displayed on top of these 2 images and are readonly. - There are 12 peices of text displayed at the same time in separate controls - Ideally, I just want to see the text and have the background transparent. The content of the text changes, but the position is static. - There are 24 status's that are displayed near the text information. The position of these status stay the same, but some are not displayed in certain circumstances. Ideally, I want each of the status to be a bar with the length equal to the value (ie. values of 1-36) - There is 1 dot that is displayed at any position over the images. Originally I tried this: - create 2 picturebox controls and display the images contained in a file - put 12 labels to hold the text and set the background color to transparent - put 24 lables to hold the 'status' items with a green background, and set the width equal to the value - didn't deal with the dot yet. My question(s) are: - considering performance and resources, is the picture box the right control for the static images? Or should I draw them using GDI+ (they are pretty simple images that I could create programaticly)? - The labels' transparent background picks up the color of the form, not the image. How can I make them pick up the color of the underlying image? - is the status lables the correct approach? - What control would be the best to use for the dot that moves around?     - transparent controls issue have 2 layers of related graphics that I want to display. The bottom layer is relatively expensive to render and stays static. The top layer displays some user-orchestrated animation, directed via the mouse- similar to a drag-and-drop operation. I've tried laying one control over the other. The top control is transparent. When I call Invalidate() in the TopControl, BottomControl repaints also. Basically, I'm hoping there is a way to continually update the top layer without having to redraw the bottom layer.     - Doing The Impossible Hello, I have been given a programming task that falls into the "impossible" category with my current skill set. I am hoping somebody out there knows how to do this and can save my b-t. I work for a large University. I wrote a Windows-based database application for my department that is used in purchasing. The University has just released Web-base application that does the same thing using a sub set of the data that my application uses. The people in my department hate it and want to keep using my application, however, the University application MUST BE USED to order. What my users have asked for is a way of doing a mass copy and paste of the needed information from my Windows app to the Web app. I have talked to the University's programmers and there is absolutely no chance of them changing their application to facilitate this. It all has to be done from the Windows app. Obviously information could be cut and pasted a field at a time, but they would like a massive copy and then go to the web form and paste, paste, paste. Is there a way to do this from the clip board? From a text file? Can I assign a hot-key programmatically to paste things off the clipboard or text file? Any help is greatly appreciated.     - Problems with OnLoad routine I have a form called ConfigUtility. That form has a TabControl. Each TabControl's tabpage is a CustomTabPage (derived from TabPage with a little common code).     - ListView Bug When Localizable Set Hello, I'm using Visual Studio 2003 and .NET Framework 1.1 to write a C# GUI. I set the Localizable property of a form to True. Thereafter, I started getting a problem with a ListView control on the form. The first time the form is displayed with a ShowDialog() call, the small image icons do not appear next to the ListView items (it's in Details view).     - The better mousetrap with a built-in trap If one wants to assure that there is only one instance of an app running, then the popular solution is to use a Mutex and a message box, telling the user there is already one running. I decided to go one further, bring the 1st instance to the foreground, no message boxes. Impressive, I thought. So the first instance stores the main window handle in shared memory (win32 calls), second instance gets the window handle from shared memory if it exists, and do a win32 "SetForegroundWindow" call. It works great if the window is not minimized. Next step, when minimized, do a win32 "ShowWindow" call. Also works great, BUT this is the trap in my mousetrap. If the main form opened a dialog (ShowDialog), and the user minimizes the dialog, then of course the main form minimizes too. Now start the second instance, it finds the handle in shared memory and does a "ShowWindow" call, showing the main window beautifully, however, the modal dialog stays minimized. Naturally, the main form is dead, and the user has to click the dialog's icon in the task bar to bring it up. Hi, we can achive this by increasing HeaderFont Property of Datagrid.

Pls increase HeaderFont as 25pt and run the application. u will get the
result.
