I have set up accelerator keys for all of my buttons in
an application. However, the underlined character
representing the accelerator key only appears AFTER the
user has pressed the Alt key. I want the character
representing the accelerator key for all buttons to be
shown when a form opens. Is there a way to do this?

Otherwise, users might never know that accelerator keys
exist.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rob,

This is because the desktop configuration settings. In Win2K (Display
Properties > Effects tab) and WinXP (Display Properties > Appearance >
Effects) there is an option:

"Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key"

That checkbox is true by default.
