Hello

I'm working in company where I should create web form login system to
SharePoint services. There should be loxin.aspx and other files that manage
login in Local_Drive:\\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS but I can't find that folder on my computer. I
suspect that it is because our version of SharePoint is 2.0 (came with
Windows server 2003 R2) and the files belongs to SpaePoint 3.0.

So if I update to SharePoint 3.0 do I get these files? There are alredy 250
sites managed by SharePoint so is this update going to mix up these and how
should I do it?

Your version of SharePoint is called Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 (WSS
2.0). Please use one of those two names when refering to it as there are two
products that could be called "SharePoint 2.0".

The files in the Local_Drive:\\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\web server
extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS path belong only to WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 as
indicated by the "12".

There is no reason I can see why an upgrade to WSS 3.0 rather than a new
installation of WSS 3.0 should not include those files.
