hello,

I am facing a problem whereby the user cannot see the option to upload
multiple files to the document library throught a POCKET PC running on
Windows Mobile 2003. I have tried pocket pc web browsers like PIE, thunder
hawk, minimo, opera and jazilla. Since Engelbert suggested that Office 2003
is required,
how do i overcome this problem since pocket pc does not support office 2003?

Thank you,
msbmn

You don't. Well not using the Multiple Upload function in the UI. That
really is available only for Office 2003 Pro users and I don't know how to
get it otherwise.

You could probably (I don't have a PocketPC) upload multiple files to
Explorer View. Even if drag and drop doesn't work then maybe Ctrl-C and
Ctrl-V will.

You see Explorer View in one of those PocketPC browsers I hope !

Hmm. Well that is too bad. Because my main concern is that i want to upload a
html document to the sharepoint document library.

If i simply upload the htm document by cliking the browse button, the html
document will be uploaded, but you wont be able to see any pictures in that
document, since the pictures are saved in another folder. Therefore, the
pictures will not be uploaded. So i figured that the only way to do this is
by using the multi upload function.

Can u suggest me some other methods whereby i can upload the html document
from the pocket pc to the document libarry and be able to see the pictuers in
that htm document in the document library?

Thanks,

Without a PocketPC it's difficult to say.

In normal cases I would upload the folder to the document library (hopefully
it is the typical case of the folder being one level below the htm file!)
and then load the htm file to the document library.

So

The document library contains

index.htm with internal links pointing to /XYZ /file.filetype

and XYZ being a folder in the document library.

Does your PocketPC allow you to copy folders (/directories) to Explorer View
?

No , pocketpc does not allow me to copy folders to explorer view. In fact,
does explorer view in desktop even allow you to do that?

If yes,how?

I found out the reason why pocket pc simply cannot upload multiple files into
the sharepoint site is because pocket pc does not have this STSUpld ActiveX
control. this control ships in with office 2003. Is it possible that there
could be a pocket pc version of this control? I have tried searching for this
but could not find anything.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks alot
you have been a great help :)
