You could accomplish it with a DVWP and a list. A custom list with the
fields you see, each person has a record in the list with their values.
You could create a DVWP with the name linked to the EditForm.aspx page
so the user can edit their status. If you want it to be dynamic like you
have in the screenshot (i.e. they click on "In" or "Out" right in the
Web Part) then you'll need a custom web part to do the display and post
back changes to the list. Probably a couple of hours of development
(with testing) to do this.
