Hello,

I installed sharepoint services 2.0 with sp2 on SBS 2003 with sp1.
Sharepoint's content and configuration databases are on MS SQL 2000 with SP4
on the same server. Sharepoint is running with an application pool identity
of a domain user (both company web and management site). Also fax services
are working. There is no problem related to sharepoint's functionality, i.e.
I can manage, configure and display companyweb as I demand. There is no
problem also on incoming faxes in terms of archival to a disk folder and
routing to e-mail clients. However, the problem is incoming faxes are not
routed to sharepoint's incoming faxes document library.

I have read all the replies regarding this subject. I registered
sbssharepoint.dll and checked the permissions on stswrapper.dll file.
Everything seems to be OK. However, I'm having SharePoint services 2.0 (event
id: 1000) and Microsoft Fax (event id: 32089) errors on my event log, and
incoming faxes library is empty.

Another clue on the resolution of this problem may be this information:
Although there is a fax service up and running on the server, sharepoint
services installation did not autotically install Fax Document Library. I
have to install fax library through a template export (on which faxes are
routed to sharepoint site) and import it to this server. I have uninstalled
and reinstalled sharepoint services several times on the server.
Unfortunately, it did not install fax library and I manually installed it.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Only the SBS version of WSS has the Fax function.

Please therefore post this message to the SBS newsgroup where they will be
able to help you.

It's at

microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

People running standard WSS or SPS 2003 (i.e. the vast majority of readers
of this newsgroup) do not have the fax function - all SBS 2003 users do.

I think users of WSS on Windows 2003 R2 may also have this problem. Anyway,
I'll keep your suggestion.

Users of WSS on Windows 2003 R2 also do *not* have Fax support. The WSS
included on the R2 CDs is standard 'WSS + SP2'.

Are there different versions of WSS ? Is WSS on Windows R2 different than WSS
on SBS 2003 ? If they are different, do you know which version of WSS at URL
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=B922B28D-806A-427B-A4C5-AB0F1AA0F7F9&displaylang=en
? And if they are different, do you know a link from which I can download WSS
of SBS ?

Thank you in advance.

They are different.

See

http://www.asaris.de/sites/walsh/Lists/WSS%20FAQ/DispForm.aspx?ID=182

for a full list of the differences between standard WSS (which includes the
R2 WSS) and the WSS in SBS 2003.

I don't know if there is a way to download the SBS version of WSS outside
the SBS 2003 product. I don't think there is.

The people in the .sbs newsgroup I mentioned earlier would know this at once
I'm sure.
