Hello All,

If a subsite is corrupted on a windows sharepoint server I want to be able
to restore the subsite over the existing subsite.I have been able to restore
the subsite to a new site but I want to restore over the corrupt subsite.

I have already backed up the site and the corrupted subsite.

Thanks for your help

the only tool that I am aware of to restore subsites is smigrate.

smigrate won't overwrite a subsite that has a template applied so you'll
need to delete the subsite, recreate it but do not apply a template. then
you should be able to restore the subsite.
Hope this helps,
Patrick

Are you currently taking backups of your site using a third party utility or
are you at least running stsadm - o backup?
