This may seem strange, but I got the request from a custom to prevent
users seeing who and how many other users are allowed to get into a WSS
site. This includes power users who know how sharepoint works and know
how to access web services...
We can assume that users will not have permissions to create or change
lists - so the user information lookup field is not a problem. the
problem is the documents in the site (when opened, the task pane shows
the "members") and the web services (and anything else I missed). For
security reasons we cannot allow users to see how many other users are
allowed to the site.
Oh, we do need seperate users - anonymous is not an option...
Ideas?
