I have an intranet site running on Sharepoint (2003).
I use owssvr.dll to save backups/archive list contents in XML format,
e.g. the file 2008-01-09.xml will hold the list contents as of that
date.

However, I cannot display all lists this way. One particular list
gives the error "Can not complete this operation. Please try again".

The first one works - the second one doesn't.
http://mysite/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?Cmd=Display&List={FEB01014-77E4-4FD5-84CB-82717A723E12}&XMLDATA=TRUE
http://mysite/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?Cmd=Display&List={D339082D-0832-4012-805C-A9F48A751D16}&XMLDATA=TRUE

Both GUIDs are correct (if they weren't, I'd get the "list does not
exist" error).

Any hints and points are greatly appreciated!

Steff

My site is not available in WSS 2.0 (or 3.0) so you must be running SPS
2003. This newsgroup isn't for SPS 2003 questions - see the following
standard text

---------------------
This newsgroup is only for people running the WSS 2.0 product or the WSS
3.0 product.

There are plenty of newsgroups for people running SPS 2003 including the
old SPS 2003 newsgroup (microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver)

OR one of the new newsgroups for all SP products such as the admin
newsgroup that I'd recommend for this question

microsoft.public.sharepoint.setup_and_administration

(The new newsgroups are very suitable for questions that may apply to
both WSS 2.0 and SPS 2003 installations.)

By restricting the .windowsservices newsgroup to people running only the
WSS 2.0 or WSS 3.0 products we ensure that all answers apply to those
products (and exclude SPS/MOSS-only answers (such as questions about My
Site !!).
-----------------------

It's correct that the installation is SPS 2003 but the "mysite" was
just something I replaced the correct sitename with.
Maybe I should have wust written ../_vti_bin/ows.. then.

Off to another group.
