Hi there!

I have a WSS running on a domain - when testing webpart personalization, I
caeted a local user in the server. When logging on with this local user, the
user can not open the "Modify My Page"... The local user can see the "Modify
My Page" but no Menu is comming up when clicking. This is only the case for
local user?

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Regards
Christian

By Modify My Page, do you mean "create personal view" ?

Perhaps in any case the two are connected. Personal View creation (and
possibly thus Modify My Page) requires a fairly high level of authorization
(can't remember the exact level).

What rights are you giving the local user ?

[I have lots of local users and having so far noticed any differences in
what they can do given the same level of autorization. This with standard
sites, however not with special web parts.]

Sorry, it is the "Modify Shared Page" on a Sharepoint Services site. I have
tried adding the user to different groups on the local server... even the
administrator group.
