I have 2003 web edition running, can i install sharepoint on the same server?

Also i have frontpage extentions install if i install sharepoint and then
re-install frontpage extensions will everything go back to normal with my
websits as far as editing with frontpage goes?

what port does sharepoint run on?

No.

Well not as a default install.

You can only install WSS on Web Edition if you have the database on a second
server. (and then the database would be SQL Server 2K)

This usually means - unless you already have the second server - that it is
not worth it unless you are planning to load blance several front-end
servers.

I think it's not wise, but maybe possible. I don't know if there are any
technical limitations when installing wss on a w2k3 server web edition, but
WSS is normally used within a domain, and w2k3 server web edition can't be a
domain controller. As far as I know you can install wss without a domain
when you're using the local system accounts.
Another point is, that you can't install SQL Server 2000 an windows server
2003 web edition. I don't know if wss with the inbuildt MSDE is allowed on
w2k3 web edition.

normally on port 80 or 443, but you can change the ports in the iis manager

It's not. It won't even install.
