When importing files, I've noticed several of the
following error messages...

"An error occurred copying some or all of the selected
files."

When I tracked down one of these, it then says the
filename "contains characters that aren ot permitted.
Please use different name," even tho' it doesn't
appear to have anything strange. I end up renaming
the file to my desktop then uploading it successfully.

Anyone have this problem and know what's going on?
It seems to be on older files but I haven't completely
verified this.

Thanks,
Bonnie

The WSS FAQ (III.5.2) has a list of characters that are not allowed by WSS.

You are perhaps hitting one of those in your names.

Thanks Mike. I looked at the list but I don't
see that the filename contains any of those...
perhaps there's a hidden character like a tab
or something.

Thanks,
Bonnie
