Hello,

We are trying to setup the email for access requests in the Share point
administration page. Below is our settings. The page states that the access
request has been sent but we never get it. I froze the local delivery que in
exhange manager but do not see the request there either. Are we missing
someting? The wssrequests@domain.com is a distribution group. Sending
directly to the wssrequests@domain.com from outlook works, each user within
the group gets the email.

Outbound SMTP server: 192.168.1.59
From e-mail address: sqlserver@domain.com
Reply-to e-mail address: wssrequests@domain.com

Character Set: 65001 (Unicode UTF-8) [Default]

Does anything from WSS work at all? Subscribe to a list and see if you make
any changes to it you receive an e-mail. Make sure that WSS Timer service is
running and runing with the same account as the Admin App Pool account.

I think you need to set this up at the site level as well.

Go to the Top Level Site Administration (Site Settings->Go To Site
Administration)
Then Click Manage Access Requests.

Adjusting these addresses in Central Administration may only set the
defaults on new sites. I'm not sure.

Good Luck,
-Ryan
