Hi,
Can anyone point me to any information regarding the subject. I've
attempted to install WSUS 2 sp1 on a server that is already running
Sharepoint services 3.0. When I installed it to a custom website I kept
getting an error in the management console about the SelfUpdate service
couldn't be detected. So I found an kBase article (don't remember the
number) and ran through it's workarounds. Still get the same message on the
admin console.
So I thought maybe uninstalling it, and renistalling it to the default web
site would help it along. Nope! Because of the WSS 3.0 installation the
Default web site won't start (both sites use the same port (port 80)). Okay
so I try move the two services (ClientWebService and SelfUpdate) service to
the WSS 3.0 site, since they must run on port 80, instead of the customized
port of 8530. Still doesn't work.
How can I get these two services to play nicely in the same sandbox?
TIA,
Art Billings
