We've been using WSSv3 for a couple weeks, and just last week, the Search
service stopped updating the index -- I can search and find stuff indexed
previously, but at a certain point, the index is no longer getting updated
(for any site). I've restarted the WSSv3 Search service, made sure there
were no apparent problems with the Search database, and even restarted the
WSSv3 server. My WSSv3 server is connecting to a separate box running SQL
Server 2000.
Through Central Administration, I've confirmed the Search service is
configured correctly, and that the content database is correctly configured
to use the search service on the WSSv3 server.
I'm seeing the following two event log entries occasionally:
