Team site with 3 columns

Hello,

My users want a template like the team site template, but with 3 Web part
zones making 3 columns on the home page, instead of two.

Does such a template exist?

3 web part zones (columns) is one of the standard formats that Front Page
2003 offers when you create a web part page.

No, but you can easily make it. Copy the STS template to a new one, edit
default.aspx to add a new HTML column and add an appropriate zone to the
new column on the page. Then use that new site def as your starter for
new sites.

Thanks Bil.

How about using a meeting workspace template instead of a team site
template? I know that I am going to lose the quicklaunch but that's ok. Is
there any other functionality lost or any trap in doing so?
