I have a serious problem. I can't create more then 100
Site Groups. I really needs more.

Exception is "The Web site group cannot be created due to
quota limitations. The maximum number of Web site groups
for this Web site has been reached. Please remove a Web
site group before adding another."

There are no limitations on Site Group quantity in any
Sharepoint Document.

Thank you for your help,
Pavel.

Just want to confirm that you are talking about Site groups and not
cross-site groups correct? Curious as to why you would like to have so many
Site groups (this was called roles in earlier STSv1).

Sure. I need Site Groups. I need to group users according
their security permissions and I have more than 100
groups. I can't create AD group with my software because
it is difficalt in our organization. I could use
Sharepoint audience for this but this is really suck
solution because of a lot of steps to make user be a
member of audience.

There is a hard coded limit of 100 on Site groups and 1000 on cross-site
groups.

I was just going to add these limits to the WSS FAQ when I realised that I
hadn't a clue what a "cross-site group" was.

Do you just mean the number of Site Groups in a single WSS installation (so
100 per site and 1000 per WSS "installation" [typically server]) ?

Or is this really basic WSS knowledge?? (reference ?)

Iyaz,

Please ignore my request for cross-site group info. I've found the "about
cross-site groups" info under (Top) Site Admin.
