Yes, this is what I meant by display only in my message.
I don't have any specific web parts etc. that I *know* for sure will offer
the ability to edit etc. in a different site, but you might have a look at
the web parts from Coras Works as they seem to have worked hard to provide
things I've not seen elsewhere.
(I have no links with CorasWorks - I once long ago had an on-line demo of
some web parts they had then and they seem to have added functionality since
then.)
