We have got a task to create a new portal server on a remote site that
will be able to host same content we have on our main corp portal
now the thing is that the demand is not to allow any on line connection
between the two and along with that the new server does NOT have to be
always synced ! only on timely bases say every once a week .. thats all

I read all MS deployent options from remote SQL to Server farms to any
other i really think i read all they have and we have tested some as
well but non of them are realy NON ONLINE :-O

my question is . without or with extra development is there any chance
to bet on SQL Log shipping methodology to sync them say once a week . \
and if so can i do it to onl part of the content ?

This is the newsgroup for Windows SharePoint Services not for Portal Server.

A SharePoint Portal Server 2003 farm is potentially more complicated.

Please post questions on portal server to that newsgroup.
