i have downloaded the beta for sharepoint designer 2007 on a client pc (not
the server hosting the sharepoint site). is it possible to get it
integrated with the sharepoint site? how do i do this?

i believe there was a way to integrate frontpage with sharepoint, but i
never used frontpage.... i am evaluating sharepoint designer now... my only
purpose would be to use it for sharepoint... so that's why i was wondering if
i need to integrate it or link it to my sharepoint site somehow.

thanks

ok, i'm answering my own question. open the sharepoint web page and in the
toolbar there is an option to edit the page with sharepoint designer.

hmmm... so i have figured out how to bring up pages in the editor, but how do
i save them back to the site? do i have to be using sharepoint designer on
the server that WSS is installed?

when i try to save it from this client computer, sharepoint designer crashes.

You should be able to use it from a client, but then it IS a beta !
