Hello,

I'm having trouble with the Send To functionality of WSS V3.0. I'm trying
to copy a document from one document library to another and select Send To -
Other Location on the files drop down menu. I then specify the other
location as follows: http://myserver.mydomain.com/Team Site/Shared Documents

When I click okay to proceed I get a Warning Dialog Box with no message,
just the okay button. This puts me back at the specify destination page. Am
I missing something here?

Thanks for your time,
Marc

Have you tested the url with the "Click here to test link". I had a box
pop up showing me the copy process then was prompted for credentials
even though i was on the same site. Not sure what that is about but it
at least accepted my destination. If it is a domain name issue, make
sure the domain name is in the hosts file on the server as well.

Thanks for your reply Dave.

Yes I did test the url and that brings up the library correctly (I've read
in the help to specify the library url without /forms/allitems.aspx - which
is displayed when testing). My authentication works correctly as well. And
the new library is also in the same site. The weird thing is that the
warning message has nothing in it, just the ! symbol and an Okay button -
titled with Microsoft internet explorer. I'm also using the RTM version of
wss 3.0?

Unfortunately both v2 and v3 have the unfortunate "feature" that 'Click here
to test link' will accept things that WSS itself will then reject.

I had hoped that it would be gone in v3 but it seems not ...
