We have a WSS 3.0 install and have created a WIKI site. I added a
number of WIKI pages. The search always comes up as No results found.

Is there something that has to be done to manually kick of the
indexing process?

Thanks

Hi,
yes there is something you have to do..

You have to start the search service and then start a crawl to build the
index!

Follow this steps:

Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then
click SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration

On the Central Administration home page, on the top navigation bar, click
the Operations tab.

On the Operations page, in the Topology and Services section, click the
Servers in farm link

On the Server in Farm page, click the link for the server where you want to
run the Search service.

On the Services on Server page, in the list of services, next to Windows
SharePoint Services Search, click Start

Here you specify an account for the search service and for the Content
Access Account.

Hope this helps!
