I apologize if this has been asked before but I am new to Sharepoint. Is
there any way to scan documents directly into Sharepoint?

Thanks

There are people considering using ScanSoft to get scanned documents into
pdf form and then as pdfs into WSS document libraries but as far as I know
no way to scan documents directly into WSS.

The answer probably applies to SharePoint Portal Server 2003 too but do us
all a favour and use "WSS" or "SPS 2003" rather than "SharePoint". (There
are even apart from the two present ones, two older SharePoint products
too).
