Hello,
is there possibillity to change user rights to only view but not download
document from document library? We deployed WSS V2 and Sharepoint portal
server 2003. We can use 3rd party program to do this. Thanks for your help.

To the question "> is there possibillity to change user rights to only view
but not download document from document library?" - No.

To the statement "We deployed WSS V2 and Sharepoint portal server 2003." -

This is impossible you either installed WSS or SPS 2003 - you did not (on
the same server) do both. (SPS 2003 includes WSS but if that is all you
installed you deployed only SPS 2003)

Hello.

the problem is that if the user will be able to view the file this actually
already means that he can download. Almost all that you see on internet you
can also save to your computer. There is maybe some protection with
Information rights management. But more I don't know if it's possible to
protect from downloading. If you don't want the user to copy-paste the
files, publish as pdf. or as tif (MS document image writer)

If you only want to list all the documents and people won't be able to open
them you simply replace the field "Title (linked to item)" or "Title (linked
to item with edit menu)" with only "Title".

Good point. I didn't think of that.

Note to Martin Prokes: this means though that *none* of the users will be
able to download or open the documents - you can't set up this kind of
thing based on different user rights within the same site/sub-site/doclib.
[You probably knew this, but just in case]
