It's the right newsgroup.
I list a number of hosters including US ones in the WSS FAQ section VII but
there's no recommendations there.
The (US) WSS FAQ site (WSS-based) has been at what used to be Unified Web
Media since the outside (Beta) almost 2 years ago (with the STS FAQ hosted
there for the year or so before that) and I've not had any problems with
that.
