Hello,

I have been working with recurring meeting workspaces and have run into a
few issues that are very annoying:

1. I can't seem to edit any lists for previous meetings. As we are evolving
the workspace over time, there are often times that we would like to
add/remove/change items on the workspace and update past meetings to reflect
the changes. It seems that almost all edits only occur for the current
meeting. How can we change this?

2. The meeting workspaces created using Outlook are located at
http://server/ whereas all other sites are created under the "sites"
(http://server/sites) virtual directory. Is there a setting to change this?
Have we done something wrong with our installation?

3. Can we change Attendee information without creating a new workspace using
a new meeting request in Outlook. The meeting request in Outlook doesn't seem
to syncronize with the workspace. This is very annoying. Any suggestions?

4. Outlook only looks at the server root (http://server/) for existing
meeting workspaces. It doesn't see any workspaces created in /sites virtual
directory. When trying to point Outlook to the /sites, a message indicating
that there are no sites is shown. What am I missing?

Thank you.

I guess I didn't have my MSDN subscriber alias set up (which would explain
why I received no responses on this issue from support).

Now that I have set this up, I assume that I will receive a response within
2 business days. Is this the case?

As your post is also appearing in a public newsgroup, it was available for
response even without the correct MSDN subscriber.

People probably didn't respond because you had piled four questions into the
same message.

Both we (private people) and probably the Microsoft managed newsgroup
support prefer to have one question per thread.

With four the message is both longer (puts me off for instance) and it makes
it likely that people can't answer all the questions so they often don't
answer any.

In answer to your MSDN question, no doubt you will get a response from
Wei-Dong XU once he wakes up in the Chinese morning. (Although a response is
only guaranteed by them within 2 days as you write).

Thanks for the tip (1 question per post). I realize that it's a public forum,
but if I assumed that if I didn't have my MSDN subscriber alias registered,
there was no actual Microsoft support (as specified on the MSDN subscriber
downloads area).

As I have never received a response from any Microsoft support, I assumed
that this was the reason.. I guess we shall see.

I must have been a bit unclear in my wording.

You're right that with no correct alias both registered *and used when you
write messages* Microsoft support would not come in. I was just trying to
indicate that your (original) message was still available for other people
to answer. [So why didn't they]

Usually by this time of day Wei-Dong XU has replied to managed messages so I
would check once again that when you posted this message that you were using
the correct alias.

The mere fact that I have commented (rather than answered) your message will
not mean that Wei-Dong XU will ignore it.

I've found an interesting bug relating to this topic.

If you visit a meeting workspace in the past (that contains a textbox with
no initial data) and "Add New Item" to a textbox, the text shows up on the
"current" meeting's workspace UNDER existing content.

Man, these recurring meeting workspaces are junk!
