Hi -

We have a Project Server 2007 installation (Project Web Access + Project
Server) and need to get some good backups going. We've found the article
that explains the usage of the stsadm tool, but we're unclear as to exactly
what needs to be run to ensure a full fidelity backup.

Running this command:
stsadm -o backup -directory \\BACKUPLOCATION -backupmethod full

seems to run through everything and create a good backup, but is this all we
need? The article explains how to backup:

1) Server farm (the command above)
2) Web application
3) Database
4) Site collection

Is backing up the full server farm getting everything, or do I need to go
down and backup any Web Applications, Databases, or Site Collections in
addition to the Server Farm?

Thanks.

Mike,

It looks like you're patrolling these boards pretty well.

Have you ever heard of AVEPOINT?

If so what do you think?

Call me or drop me an email.

Well enough to see someone who does nothing here except push the product
of his company.

Either start providing solid answers to the questions asked or vanish.

In response to the question. I heard of Avepoint long ago. It's listed
in the WSS FAQ list of SharePoint v2 products which means it was a long
time ago I came across it first.
