Hi,
ok, so you created new web appl and site collection and got this error
message, right?
I assume you have restarted IIS after that (iisreset command)? What port
number are you using? NTLM or Kerberos? Do you use Host header as well?
Check also if the web site and corresponding appl pool are running in IIS
and if appl pool runs under coorect account.
For further troubleshooting you can disable friendly http error messages
(IE> internet options>advanced>security) and use fiddler tool to get more
detailed error message.(install fiddler, start the program, reproduce the
error (access the web site) - check error message number and info in
fiddler.
Let me know what you found out!
