You may remember I was here before christmas (happy new
you to you all) regarding a WSS site I had been running
on the beta version and wanted to upgrade to the release
version.
I tried the upgrade on a fairly basic site at home and it
has gone wrong and now will not work. I think the issue
was that I ran the exe without and switches and my guess
is that it was looking for a default database instance
rather than the sharepoint instance i have ended up with
from upgrading MSDE to SQL 2000 sp3.
I dont remember getting any option once I had run the exe
so my question is: can this be run from the cmd prompt
with a pointer to the correct db, if so how please.
I hope to re run the upgrade in this way to fix the
problem which was a database config error toward the end
of the upgrade process.
