Can anyone help find a solution to modifying the welcome email that is
sent when you add a new user to a WSS3 site or group?
The problem with the current message is that when using forms based
authentication, our FBA users enter through a different URL then our
active directory uses. So, if we send then a link to our AD entry
site in the welcome message this is problematic.
I think have it narrowed down to "C:Program Files\Common Files
\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS", but
every attempt to search for a portion of text has been unsuccessful.
The email in question is as follows:
Subject: Welcome to the Sharepoint group 'group x' for site: 'site x'
Body: Welcome to the 'site x' Sharepoint group, 'username' has added
you the the 'site x' group for this sharepoint site.......
As a member of this Sharepoint group you can.....
What is a sharepoint site?.......
I have searched through this group and have not yet found this
solution documented. Any help would be greatly appreciated
