Simple request but probably impossible to solve.
How do you edit the link between a meeting in a meeting workspace series
and outlook calendar entry?
More Detail:
We have a meeting workspace that is a series of meetings going back over
a year. It used basically as a minutes and decisions type of thing and
works brilliantly. The MW was created in WSS but the series was created
in Outlook and linked to the WSS.
However in August we had to change the machine the WSS site was on (lease
was up) and we migrated everything to the new server. It appeared to go
very well and everything just carried on working. Unfortunately we
changed the name of the server the site is on and this has lead to a big
problem now.
We needed to change some things with the series so the recurrence was
changed slightly in outlook. Problem is the Link to the meeting
workspace in outlook is burried somewhere and now none of the calendar
entries link to their respective meetings in the series on WSS and any
attempt to change anything is no longer reflected on the WSS as the
changes are being sent to the old server name and location of the WSS and
we are getting a bounce back saying it can't update the meeting
workspace.
So anyone know how I can fix this?
I know someone is going to jump all over this and say it's an outlook
issue but I checked the outlook groups on google first and they have
woefully little on meeting workspaces and linking to them, other than how
you do it. So any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
