Use the built-in "Windows Internal Database" on a single server
installation. It's good enough for those numbers.

Don't use the standard SQK Server Express 2005 (or MSDE 2K) both have
database size limits (4GB /2?GB) that the Windows Internal Database
doesn't have.

The "Windows Internal Database" is the database system that is installed
when you do a Basic Installation of WSS 3.0.

It was formerly called "embedded SQL Server 2005 Express"

Unlike the standard SQL Server 2005 Express it doesn't restrict database
sizes to 4GB

However (your second question) it can only be used for "Windows
components" (such as the WSS 3.0 databases) and can not therefore be
used for the databases of any other app.

It isn't SQL Server 2005 Express Advanced edition (as far as I know)
