Hello,

In the past, I had installed SSRS 2005 prior to Service Pack 2 by setting up
SQL Server, not configuring SSRS, installing SharePoint, adding two excluded
managed paths for /reports and /reportserver, and then configuring SSRS.

With the introduction of SSRS SharePoint integration mode, I don't know if
this is still the preferred method.

However, in my most recent installation, this managed path exclusion was not
done and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 was installed, which seemed
to work correctly until rebooted and now all IIS sites only report "Service
Unavailable."

Can you please provide me some pointers of how to recover this situation and
the best practices to follow for this scenario in the future (ex. use SSRS
SharePoint integration mode or not)?

Thanks for your assistance with this issue.

Justin

This newsgroup is only for people who have installed the WSS 2.0 or WSS
3.0 products.

People who have installed MOSS should either post to the old SPS
newsgroup here

microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver

OR to the appropriate one (for the question) of the new newsgroups that
cover all SharePoint products and versions (thus making the question of
WSS 3.0 or MOSS 2007 irrelevant)

These are

microsoft.public.sharepoint.setup_and_administration (Installation /
Admin questions)

microsoft.public.sharepoint.design_and_customization (Simple
customization typically using SPD 2007)

microsoft.public.sharepoint.development_and_programming (Programming
questions typically using Visual Studio 2007)

and (for questions that do'nt fit in any the above)

microsoft.public.sharepoint.general

In this case thus

microsoft.public.sharepoint.setup_and_administration
