I am trying Sharepoint Services V3. I created a site where I am trying some
of the webparts. One of the web parts is the Content Editor Web Part. I can
type any text in the Web Page Dialog, but I can not insert an image, or a
table or a link. When I click on the icon for any of these objects the
system asks me for my user name and password. I type the administrator
account credentials but the system does not accept them and then responds
back with a No access message. This is the same account I used for the
installation of Share Point and the creation of the site, and I am testing
the system in the same box where MOSS V3 is running.

I was wondering if there is a security setting I should change to get access
to the Content Editor.

Thank you.

You can't as far as I know install the WSS v3 product (=download) on the
same server as MOSS 2007.

Are you saying this is what you have done ?

What would be the point of this? MOSS 2007 includes
full WSSv3 functionality.

If you have MOSS 2007 question please post them either to the Portal Server
newsgroup microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver or to one of the new
newsgroups - in this case
microsoft.public.sharepoint.setup_and_administration would seem to be the
most suitable.

(This newsgroup is for WSS - the standalone product.)

Sorry, I got the names mixed up. I do not have the Share Point Server
installed; I only have Share Point Services.

Also, I noticed that I can add a Content Editor web part in the Central
Administration page, but I can not do it in a site collection that I created.
I even tried to enable Anonymous access.

Thank you,
