Hello all,

I have run into a very big login problem with my WSS 2.0 installation. I
have set up kerberos authentication and it worked fine for me and others
inside the company. However there are some PC's that stopped working, since
users cannot login from there.

When they try to get to the WSS site they get the error

Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access
this resource.
Access requests are not enabled.

NOTICE: This thing shows up without even showing the login prompt!!

What is more I found that I can access the site by a)using firefox b)running
iexplore as a different user.

Searching around I found other people who have the same problem but no
answer yet...

Is there any way I can get it to work? I don't want to use NTLM authentication

Thanks for the prompt reply

On the computers with IE that doesn't allow logins, have you checked
that

Tools-->Internet Options-->Advanced-->Security-->Enable Integrated
Windows Authentication (requires restart)

is checkmarked?

\Thanx Andy for the reply, but I managed to find what was causing my problem...

In case anyone has the some problem...

The proxy we use stored something (either login credentials or an expired
kerberos ticket) and used them whenever someone tried to access the site. The
other PCs that worked had (incorectly) no proxy configuration.

The problem with the proxy also shows up with the google web accelerator
(the other proxy is a squid)
