Ah, I was assuming that a *document* in doc lib 1 needed to link to a
document in doc lib2.
If all you want is a single link in doc lib1 to a single document in doc
lib2 I can't see any other way than your blank document (except that I
wouldn't perhaps make it blank but something explaining why you are doing
this with a name that puts it first in the list of documents)
There's a Description field for a doc lib of course where you can put the
URL in *text* but it wouldn't hyperlink.
