SharePoint uses an active directory shema that is not compatible with
active directory on pre 2003 servers. Is there a way around this? can
I use AD on our 2000 server with Sharepoint?

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Hi,
A WSS default configuration can be installed on a W2K3 server that is a
member of a W2K domain. AD Account Creation mode probably doesn't work in
this environment but this is not the default mode of WSS and I would not
recommend using AD Account Creation mode if at all possible (my own view,
not necessarily that of my employer).
