Since there is no limit on the number of websites that can be created in IIS7
on Vista RC1, it would seem that this is a good platform to install WSSV3.
Obviously, this could allow WSSV3 platform developers to avoid using a server
OS for their workstation.
The WSSV3 Beta2 install does an OS check for WinServer2003 with SP1, so the
install fails on Vista RC1, but are there plans to allow a WSSV3 Beta Refresh
or RTM install on Vista RC1(+ n) and RTM?
Is there a switch I can use on the current WSSV3 beta 2 install to bypass
the OS check? I've tried "/force" (guessing switches from stsadm, I suppose),
but that doesn't work.
TIA,

Hello Berry,

I believe WSS V3 will be supported with VISTA finally. Currently, the beta
version may only support Windows Server 2003. You may keep an eye on our
products web page and our sharepoint team's blog, the latest version will
be avalible there on first day. Also, you can provide your comments on
their blog:
