Hello everyone I have a small problem
I can not search any pdf files on my Sharepoint server.
I have installed Adobe Ifilter 6.0 on my SQL Server 2005 64bit
I have added the pdf icon to the web farm so my PDF's icons are displaying
corectly in sharepoint
Any help on this subject will be appreciated...

This is the configureation I am running

Front end server Windows Server 2003 Web Farm ( Two Server in Farm )
Backend server Windows Ent.. Server 2003 64bit (Failover Cluster system)
with SQL ENT. Server 64bit

Thanks again

Have you added any pdf files since you installed the Adobe Filter ? This
article includes the fact that (normally) only pdf files added after the
IFilter are indexed.

I presume you've also waited overnight after adding the files.

Otherwise, it might be possible that a second install works (it's been
reported before).

It would also be good to hear from anyone who has got it to work on a 64-bit
2005 in case it's connected to that.

Yes I have added several PDF files after iI installed the IFilter 6.0
Just checked to day and no luck, It looks like yhe PDF files are not being
indexed
I ran this query on the SQL Server after I installed the Ifilter

exec sp_fulltext_service 'load_os_resources', 1;
exec sp_fulltext_service 'verify_signature', 0;
go
==========================================
Today I ran this Query to verify if the PDF could be indexed

select document_type, path from sys.fulltext_document_types

The query did not report back that .pdf could be indexed.
This ones has me stumped.........
.

You will be unable to use this the Adobe Ifilter on sql 2005 64bit.
This is because 64bit applications are not able to load 32bit dlls.
Need to pressure adobe to compile a 64bit ifilter for us.
