Helpdesk application for WSS - webpart

Had create a view for closed issue but it still show "add new items" on the
bottom left of the web part. Can it remove it as I don't want confuse users?

You can create a new view for only Open items. In the filter section of the
view creation, select which field denotes the status and say that if they
equal Closed (or whatever your options say) to not show them. It's how I did
ours.

Change the toolbar type in the webpart settings.
